From Bioscience to Game Development: A Dynamic and Diverse Institution in the Heart of Sweden
The University of Skövde is a state university in Skövde, a city in southwestern Sweden. It was established in 1977 and granted university status in 1983. The university has over 10,000 students and offers 35 undergraduate and 24 graduate programs in five schools: Bioscience, Business, Health Sciences and Education, Engineering Science, and Informatics. The university has six research centers that focus on areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Systems Biology (SysBio), User-Centred Product Design (UCDP), Health Technology (HT), Learning Informed by Science (LIS), and Digital Narration: Games and Cultural Heritage (DIG).
