The D’Annunzio University of Chieti – Pescara (Università degli Studi “Gabriele d’Annunzio” Chieti – Pescara) is a public research university located in the neighboring cities of Chieti and Pescara in the region of Abruzzo, Italy. It was established in 1965 as a non-state-owned university and became state-owned in 1982. It is named after Gabriele d’Annunzio, a prominent Italian poet, writer, and politician born in Pescara.
The university has two main campuses: one in Chieti Scalo, where the administrative offices and most faculties are located, and one in Pescara, where some faculties and departments are based. The university also has a distance learning center in Torrevecchia Teatina.
